What is Redelivery?

A redelivery is a fee carriers charge shippers when the carrier cannot complete a scheduled delivery and must redeliver the shipment at a later date. Missed appointments, freight not ready to load, and route disruptions cause redeliveries.

Redelivery is one of the most expensive truckload accessorial charges, up to $400 or more per redelivery. Learn how to avoid accessorial charges and manage your shipments by visiting our Freight Resources blog.
