What are Standard B Grade Pallets?

Some other characteristics that the Standard B Grade pallets have include:

  • Six to seven boards on the top deck. The amount of boards on the top deck depends on the width of the boards, which are usually 3.5 to 5.5 inches.
  • Top deck boards have an average spacing of 2.5 to 3.5 inches.
  • Four boards or more on the bottom deck.
  • Three stringers between the top deck and the bottom deck.
  • Repairs made to the stringers.

If you are looking to send goods wholesale to a warehouse or distributor, be aware that not all of them will accept B grade pallets. If there is a specific pallet requirement in place, anything not meeting minimum standards can be rejected at the shipper’s and/or carrier’s expense.
