What is a Dry Bulk Tanker?

A Dry Bulk Tanker is a special tanker truck or trailer that can carry up to 80,000 pounds of dry materials at once, which is the legal weight limit for trucks on most U.S. roads. The tanks are shaped like funnels, so when it comes time to empty the tanks, it’s easy to open up the funnels at the bottom and simply dump the materials out.

Dry bulk tankers can be used to ship commodities such as fertilizer, sand, wood chips, and many other loose, dry materials.
