What is Cross Docking?

Cross Docking is a logistics strategy that facilitates the efficient transfer and sorting of goods from inbound transportation vehicles, such as trucks or trailers, directly to outbound vehicles.

The greatest benefit is that it reduces or even eliminates the need for long-term storage. This process aims to minimize inventory holding times, reduce handling costs, and expedite the flow of goods through the supply chain.
