What is a Chassis Repo Charge?

Repositioning containers at the port is necessary to make sure empty containers are available and ready for use.

If a number of empty containers have piled up outside of ports or crucial loading hubs, they aren’t available for shippers that need to move goods out of the country or ship them via container ship.

Chassis repo charges are just one of the fees commonly associated with the movement of shipping containers.
